Gaussian Splats in Blender 5.3: From Generated Image to Dynamic 3D
gorkem · x · 2026-09-23
The author took Gaussian splats for a spin in Blender 5.3: starting from a generated image, using Minimax H3-Max camera control to make a video, then converting to Gaussian splats with KIRI Engine App.
They note scenes can be relit with Gaussian splats too, but it was sluggish even on a 5090, and optimization could improve results. They marvel at the pipeline unfolding: image to video to 3D to dynamic generative worlds.
