Claude Opus 5.5 lands on Netlify AI Gateway and Agent Runners with zero configuration

Netlify announced Claude Opus 5.5 is now available through its AI Gateway and Agent Runners with zero configuration: call it via the Anthropic SDK directly in Netlify Functions without managing API keys or auth.
The model works across Background, Scheduled, and Edge Functions with automatic access to Netlify's caching, rate limiting, and authentication infrastructure. Use the model string claude-opus-5-5 and the effort setting in outputconfig to make it work harder on specific requests. Netlify's pitch: the agent building your app and the app it builds can run on the same model.
