OpenHack joins YC Fall 2026 to build an always-on AI security engineer

OpenHack announced it has joined Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch. Founder Ananya Arora says the team has already gone through building, shipping, and selling products the hard way.
The startup is building an "always-on AI security engineer" that is deeply context-aware—understanding the business, developer intent, and system architecture—to hunt, reason, prioritize, and verify vulnerabilities based on true business impact. Despite advances in security tooling, organizations still struggle with false positives, prioritization, and AI-assisted attacks moving faster than ever, a problem the team says is much harder than it looks.
