Rob Seamans shared a new paper by Rob Fairlie and Jane Wu finding youth summer unemployment in 2026 was no different from prior years. AI exposure had no effect on youth unemployment, but remote-work exposure did. An important empirical addition to the debate on AI and entry-level work, pushing back on the popular narrative that AI is destroying graduate jobs.
