Ming-Image-0.1-Design ships open weights with native RGBA output and layer separation
ActNo1693 · reddit · 2026-09-23
A Reddit post highlights the newly released Ming-Image-0.1-Design weights with two notable features:
- Native RGBA output: generated images keep a transparent background without post-hoc background removal.
- A separate Design-Layer model that can split an existing graphic into transparent PNGs, making it much easier to tweak individual elements.
The author hopes someone wires these into ComfyUI to test how useful they are in real workflows.
