Drawing robot built on Google DeepMind's Gemini lands IEEE RAM publication

Researchers announced that "Visual Storytelling: An Embodied Companion," a collaboration with artist Patrick Tresset, is published in IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RAM).
- The project built a drawing robot on Google DeepMind's Gemini models; the author stresses that deployment plus expert feedback was the real learning loop: "the only way to learn is to deploy."
- The same RAM issue features work by Aude Billard, Sami Haddadin, Deva Ramanan, Jun-Yan Zhu, and others.
