Chicago-based Go.AI announced an $85M Series A led by Updata Partners, with GFT Ventures and LAUNCH participating, bringing total funding to $90M.
- The company sells a private-AI appliance: the Go1 box (launched as Go Abacus) bundles compute hardware with Go.OS software, running models and indexing data locally inside the customer's facility by default, preserving a full audit trail for regulated industries.
- Go.AI claims over 200 customers across financial services, healthcare, aerospace/defense, and manufacturing, and plans to expand beyond regulated sectors.
- Founders David Moscatelli and Lisa Gillespie met as accounting professor and student at Loyola University Chicago; her end-to-end audit mindset shaped the product.
