Artificial Analysis launches 9-language TTS arena; Cartesia Sonic tops 8 of 9

Artificial Analysis extended its Controlled Voice Arena to 9 new languages beyond English (Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Arabic), evaluating models with standardized cloned voices and native-language prompts. TTS quality varies sharply across languages — strong English models don't necessarily deliver natural pronunciation and pacing elsewhere. Cartesia says its Sonic ranks #1 in 8 of the 9 new languages.
