Two hours after Claude Opus 5.5 launched, the author tested it for SEO information gain: it read the Google top-10 for 40 keywords (347 pages), mapped what each covers, and surfaced 131 angles nobody has written about (3.3 per keyword) for $6.35 total. Claude Fable 5.1 on the same task processed only 16 keywords in the same time at $5.53 — a full pass would cost $16.38. Opus broke 1 of 8 writing rules across 131 drafts; Fable broke 2 in 37. Takeaway: 60% cheaper per token, dramatically better long-task economics.
