Microsoft ships MAI-Transcribe 2 with multilingual speech, diarization, timestamps

Microsoft's Lee Stott shared a hands-on demo of MAI-Transcribe 2 by developer Bethany Jep: the updated model adds language support, speaker diarization, and finer-grained timestamps, enabling transcription of multilingual conversations. A companion notebook demonstrating the model in action is available in the microsoft-foundry/model-releases GitHub repo.
