With rabbitOS 3 and Rabbit Agents, the SymDroid team connected the Rabbit R1 to their self-hosted symodels ecosystem, turning the device into a portable interface for a private AI stack.
- Models don't run on-device: R1 routes through rabbitOS 3 → Rabbit Agent → agent runtime → symDispatch/symStack to open-weight models on local infrastructure
- Different models handle reasoning, research, orchestration, translation, multimodal and agent workflows; the R1 just needs to reach the agent, no big GPU required
