No image model: Opus 5.5 paints painterly art pixel-by-pixel with ~7,500 lines of generated Python

Developer jkeatn shares months of asking Anthropic's Opus 5.5 to paint: every image is a Python program rendering pixel by pixel — no image model, no off-the-shelf art software, just 7,500 lines of code using standard libraries to emulate different brush styles.
The agents use no reference pictures, working only from what they know about each painter. Quoter quips archaically about what brushes avail now.
