DigitalOcean launches Managed Agents public preview: one cloud for the whole agent loop

DigitalOcean's Managed Agents has entered public preview, pitching an "agent-first cloud": agents are stateful, event-driven loops, not traditional apps in a VM.
Key features:
- A dedicated secure microVM sandbox per session
- Durable execution with pause, resume, checkpoint and fork
- One managed MCP endpoint for 16,000+ tools, routing across 75+ open and frontier models
- Execution-time credential brokering—the agent never sees the key
- Unified telemetry across runtime, model and tool calls
It can run Claude Code, Codex, or your own LangGraph agent, with one cloud and one bill—an integrated alternative to stitching together six-plus vendors.
