DigitalOcean's Managed Agents (public preview) runs Claude Code, Codex, or your own LangGraph agent in an isolated runtime that pauses when idle and resumes with workspace and conversation intact — 316ms resume, no billing while paused. Tools sit behind one governed endpoint with 75+ open and proprietary models. The core idea is separating persistent agent state from continuously running compute, solving the waste of keeping a VM alive through long-running agents' execution/dead-time cycles.
