Musk: Chinese AI leads on performance per compute, chip fix in 2-3 years

Elon Musk called Chinese AI models "generally outstanding," noting that given their limited compute, Chinese companies' performance on intelligence rankings is excellent — "probably the best in terms of performance per unit of compute."
He predicted China will address its compute constraints through lithography and chipmaking faster than most expect, roughly within two to three years.
