boothpy: a zero-dependency LLM checkpoint library opens beta testing
Cowboy_28 · reddit · 2026-09-23
A developer released boothpy (BOOTH) v0.5.0-beta, a lightweight, zero-dependency, provider-agnostic Python checkpoint layer that sits between LLM calls and your app, applying an accept / retry / reject decision. MIT licensed, available on PyPI.
The author is recruiting LLM developers to stress-test it across OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Mistral, Ollama and more, comparing behavior with and without BOOTH and filing findings in GitHub Issue #2 — negative feedback explicitly welcome.
