An indie developer building an MCP server for knowledge search says distribution is harder than development. Submitting to Claude's official directory requires a Team org with a 2-seat minimum (40 EUR/month for an unused seat), and a previous submission took 3 months only to be told the process had changed. The bigger issue: many companies block third-party MCP servers outright at the IT/security level, regardless of directory listings, with no exceptions.
