Anthropic in early talks to lease up to 1GW from Apollo-backed data center developer

Anthropic is in early-stage talks to lease up to 1GW of compute capacity from Stream, a data center developer majority-owned by Apollo Global Management, according to The Information. Apollo said in 2025 that Stream controls more than 4 GW of powered land.
Notably, Anthropic could fill the facilities with Google TPUs co-designed with Broadcom, while Nvidia GPUs are also under discussion.
