Altman pitches US-led AI governance proposal; former OpenAI researcher says it contains none of it

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman published a proposal arguing that people outside AI labs should have a real say in how the technology develops, with clear safety standards, checks on power concentration, room for open-model companies to compete, and US leadership. Former OpenAI superalignment researcher Blanche Minerva quoted it and fired back: the actual proposal contains none of those things — no real outside say, no clear way to judge safety, no anti-concentration standards, and no aid to open-model companies. "Maybe he posted the wrong one?"
