jkeatn shared a counterintuitive AI art experiment: over the past few months they had Anthropic's models "paint" — every image is a Python program generated pixel by pixel. No image model, no off-the-shelf art software, just 7,500 lines of code using standard libraries to emulate different painters' brush styles. Opus 5.5 reportedly emulates styles well, working purely from what the agent knows about each painter with no reference images.
