After mockery over his claim that UI will be generated on the fly, Thorsten Ball clarifies you assemble widgets dynamically rather than generate everything from scratch, and frontier-speed inference will make it viable. Jason Kneen agrees and predicts prompts (under some future name) become the new App Store content: apps get "fixed" by updating the prompt and rebuilding, not patching.
His envisioned flow: [Idea > Spec > Applets > App] > Bundle > Run — decoupled, self-contained applets like old-school engineering, easy to build, test, and swap per user, then bundled into one distributable file. The critical work is steps 1–2; assembly and packaging are downstream.
