InstinctFlash: open-source runtime runs 8 robot model families in real time on one commercial GPU
chris_j_paxton · x · 2026-09-23
General Instinct launched InstinctFlash, a unified open-source runtime for physical AI inference. End-to-end robot policies don't fit on edge devices, VLAs are already slow on-device, and world action models are worse, taking 20-50 steps to de-noise a single action clip. InstinctFlash runs generalist models from 8 model families in real time on a single commercial GPU, opening a new path for edge robot deployment.
