Ramp AI Index adds spend volumes — but total base is under $30M a week across all models
xeophon · x · 2026-09-23
Ramp pushed a major update to its AI Index, now reporting token and spend volumes (not just shares) weekly, model-by-model including open-source models, with team-level spend to come. But the update also undercut its credibility as a market signal: the entire base — all models combined — is under $30M per week, a far cry from total industry AI spend, since Ramp only sees its own corporate card data. Anyone using Ramp index for serious B2B AI analysis should take note.
