Palo Alto launches multi-model AI security service; no single model finds over 40% of bugs

Palo Alto Networks announced Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense on September 22: a security service that orchestrates multiple models — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT variants and open-weight models — to find vulnerabilities, validate real-world exploitability, and speed up remediation.
Unlike one-time scans, it runs a baseline assessment and keeps testing as an organization's apps, APIs, cloud infrastructure, repos and network assets change. It's available worldwide on an annual subscription.
The practical core is a model-routing layer that sends different security tasks to different models instead of betting on one. Palo Alto's own testing found no single model detected more than 40% of vulnerabilities in complex environments, so coverage and validation matter as much as model quality.
