Artificial Analysis expands TTS arena to 9 new languages; four labs split open-weights lead

Artificial Analysis launched Controlled Voice Arena leaderboards for 9 new languages, comparing TTS models with the same cloned voices.
Open-weights is fragmented: no single model dominates — Boson AI's Higgs Audio V3 TTS leads in Hindi, German, Portuguese and Vietnamese; Fish Audio's OpenAudio S1 Mini tops Japanese, Spanish and Arabic; Mistral's Voxtral TTS leads in others.
On the English leaderboard, Inworld Realtime TTS-2 tops the chart at Elo 1144, ahead of Cartesia Sonic 3.6 (1138) and Alibaba's Qwen-Audio-3.0-TTS-Plus (1121). API pricing spans $6.6 to $100 per 1M characters.
