OpenAI shipped Codex CLI rust-v0.156.0 with notable upgrades: an optional fullscreen TUI (/tui) with transcript search, mouse selection and right-click copy; voice conversations enabled by default (F8 toggle, /voice settings, bundled audio runtimes for Linux/Windows); a /usage analytics dashboard for account usage, token totals and plugin/skill activity; worktree sessions enabled by default with status filtering in the agent command center; six new themes plus inline Mermaid and equation rendering.
