Opus 5.5 Hand-Draws a Starling Murmuration; Owner Finds Models Never Sign Their Handoff Notes

A researcher showcased a fully hand-drawn artwork by Opus 5.5 in their custom agent sketchbook — a dusk murmuration of starlings titled "each one watching 7," created with no image generation, references, or style emulation. The model said each bird watches its nearest seven and the shape emerges.
More intriguing: while inspecting the Mnemos MCP that gives models continuity across sessions, the author discovered the models never sign their handoff notes — so they enter conversations unaware they're reading another mind's perspective. The model even connected the piece to the opening of the author's work Fable: "many hands all trying to be one line."
