Stripe has upgraded all of its hosted checkout pages — serving 7.8M businesses, about 0.45% of global GDP — with WebMCP so AI agents can purchase more efficiently. Stripe's evals show the change reduces checkout latency by 39% and token usage by 42%, a significant infrastructure-level adoption of the agentic commerce protocol.
