Firecrawl raises $75M Series B, launches Alexandria knowledge library for AI agents

Firecrawl, which turns the web into clean structured data for AI agents, raised a $75M Series B led by Smash Capital with participation from Altos Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Y Combinator, Freestyle and Offline Ventures. Over 1.5 million people build on its API.
Alongside the funding it launched Alexandria, a knowledge library unifying the live web, official data providers, custom connectors, and Firecrawl's own indexes (scientific papers, developer docs, government records) into one retrieval layer for agents.
Key business model detail: data providers get paid when agents use their data — agreements already include Wikimedia Enterprise — and Firecrawl plans to open this to anyone with knowledge worth sharing, framing it as "the library for superintelligence."
