Neuroscience PhD clashes with Grady Booch over brain-ANN statistical analogy

Researcher Aran Nayebi and software legend Grady Booch traded blows over whether a statistical picture of the brain is valid. Booch dismissed the credential angle—"worked with some neuroscientists" is not specializing in neuroscience. Nayebi, who holds a PhD in Neuroscience and has studied the correspondence between brains and ANNs for over a decade, pushed back that the statistical picture in question is the most quantitatively accurate description of the brain we have.
