Reactor Field, founded by James Sinka and berkbuilds, unveiled its first cohort of AI-native science and deep-tech startups under the thesis "AI transformed coding, science is next." Highlights: merge, a no-implant brain-computer interface company with a $250M seed led by OpenAI and Bain; episteme, a new R&D institution cofounded by Louis Andre and Sam Altman; unicorn longevity startup Retro Biosciences in phase 1 trials; Northwell Health; MIT-spinout Strand Therapeutics (programmable mRNA); xilio; Marathon Fusion (fusion-produced isotopes); Kopra Bio; and Radify Metals, alongside Mayo Clinic ventures.
