Perplexity brings Claude Opus 5.5 to all Computer users as default Standard effort

Perplexity CEO Arav Srinivas announced that Claude Opus 5.5 is now available to all Perplexity Computer users.
On the company's Wide-And-Deep-Research evals, it compares favorably to Fable 5.1 at a fraction of the cost, and will become the "Standard" effort orchestrator on Computer for all Pro and Max users.
