Anthropic just released Claude Opus 5.5. Early testing at Every shows:
- Coding: excellent at end-to-end builds that match your taste; the author now picks Opus over Fable for large projects, and Kieran Klaassen calls it his new daily driver, replacing Fable 5.1 — pulling some Codex converts back to Claude.
- Pricing: up to 40% cheaper than Opus 5.
- Writing: legible prose (68.42 reading ease), but still trails Astra on writing tasks.
Overall a strong contender as a new daily-driver model.
