OpenAI Forms Mathematician Advisory Group as Model Solves 100+ Open Problems

OpenAI announced it is working with an independent advisory group of mathematicians to responsibly share advances in AI and mathematics. The group will advise on how to assess and communicate new mathematical results, uphold academic standards, and build tools supporting math research and learning. Researcher Liu Zuxin, resharing the announcement, said watching one model resolve 100+ long-standing open math problems in a matter of weeks makes you recalibrate your worldview.
