Dan Wahlin gave his AI agent a face: a Waveshare ESP32-S3 AMOLED desk companion. He pointed Copilot CLI at a photo of the device and got blink, look-around, tap, sleep, and hook-driven states (Working, Needs decision, Done). He also built a web-based character studio to preview animations without reflashing firmware. Runs fully local—no Wi-Fi, cloud account, or subscription.
