UK-based datacentre startup Nscale is preparing a US stock market listing seeking a valuation of up to $35bn, with a possible debut before year-end, the Guardian reports.
- Former UK deputy PM and Nscale board member Nick Clegg holds over 917,000 shares (0.12%), worth about $42m at the top valuation, or $18m based on the last $14.6bn funding round.
- Fellow board member Sheryl Sandberg's 0.25% stake could be worth up to $88m; both receive $60,000 annual retainers.
Nscale filed US flotation papers on 18 September, choosing New York over London and fueling debate about the UK capital market's appeal.
