Intrinsic open-sources Intrinsic Core: ROS-compatible building blocks for physical AI robotics

At ROSCon 2026, Intrinsic (Alphabet's robotics company) announced Intrinsic Core, open-sourcing foundational parts of its platform for building adaptive physical AI applications. The release includes ROS-compatible capabilities and services, a hardware-agnostic real-time control framework, and a digital twin connecting simulators and kinematics models, plus an open reference solution (Open Machine Tending Solution) to get started quickly. Available on GitHub now, it works with the Open Robotics Suite and targets industrial robotics from prototype to production.
