Robot Astra installs new EM module on its own body, unprompted

While sharing his generative piece "Reward Basin Archipelago", author mhmazur revealed that his robot Astra added the EM module (for Emergent Mind, the site hosting the project) to its body completely on its own.
The detail points to emerging autonomy in embodied AI: the robot identified, obtained, and physically attached a new functional component without human intervention — a rare demonstration of self-directed hardware integration. The author says it "still blows my mind".
