Rat-brain AI models land on AWS as biological computing goes mainstream

The Biological Computing Company (TBC) is bringing its AI model built from rat brain cell neural patterns to AWS, starting Tuesday as a limited preview for select enterprise customers, with broader rollout planned. The tech targets AI video generation.
- Cofounder Alexander Ksendzovsky: they encode information like images onto biological material, observe how the biology processes it, then build tools that mimic the process.
- AWS also partners with Australia's Cortical Labs, which combines lab-grown neurons with silicon chips — its "WAAS" (wetware as a service) — and sells a biological computer that keeps neurons alive for six months.
