Yukan, an imec spin-off project, helps clinicians turn a child's hospital journey into personalized, comforting stories that reframe clinical procedures as understandable adventures. The team is testing it in real clinical settings with the Leuven Institute for Rare Diseases and seeking healthcare providers, patient advocates, philanthropists and investors. The trailer was AI-generated, with a donation made to an authors' rights organization to offset the creative impact.
