NVIDIA released Isaac ROS 5.0 at ROSCon in Toronto, bringing agentic workflows to the 1.3M-user ROS ecosystem so humans and AI agents can build robots together.
- Adds ROS Lyrical / Ubuntu 24.04 support plus a standard data-handling interface contributed to ROS Lyrical
- New Isaac skills: reusable, agent-ready workflows; FoundationStereo fine-tuning lets agents adapt stereo perception to your cameras
- FoundationPose agent-ready inference library speeds pose estimation and tracking up to 5.5x; pick-and-place now a standalone skill
- Ecosystem: RealSense's AgenticROS links Isaac ROS with Nemotron models; adopters include Intrinsic, Magna, Flexiv, and Mentee Robotics' MenteeBot humanoid
- Scales from Jetson Orin Nano to Jetson Thor for edge deployment
