Critic slams LessWrong's rise as a serious intellectual forum as 'catastrophic'

The author argues that LessWrong was tolerable as a place where nontechnical posters without formal knowledge of philosophy or the history of Western thought could discuss topics they found interesting. Its "breaking containment" and being taken seriously as an intellectual forum, he says, has been catastrophic — a sharp critique of the community's discourse quality.
