Alibaba lays out AI roadmap: 10T-parameter Qwen, Zhenwu V900 chip, 20GW data centers by 2032

Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu said at Apsara Conference 2026 that "machine thinking" is still under 3% of human capacity and Alibaba aims to scale it 1,000x, building on three pillars:
- Models: advancing Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) with planned 5–10T parameter Qwen models driving toward ASI
- Chips: the new Zhenwu V900, billed as China's most powerful AI chip, scaling to 500,000 cards per cluster
- Cloud: expanding global data center capacity beyond 20GW by 2032
