Ex-MSR engineer: world models are now make-or-break tech, top startups will emerge

The author says that at Microsoft Research many colleagues constantly pitched world models and he didn't put much weight on them, but he now sees the area as make-or-break technology — predicting some of the most important startups will come out of it.
