Rainmaker has raised $100M to build what it calls the world's best lab for weather modification and atmospheric science, with backing from noavctech, Upfront Ventures, DCVC, Lowercarbon Capital, Dream Ventures and others.
The company is aggressively hiring and scaling its research org, aiming for a flywheel of atmospheric data collection, synthesis, understanding and intervention. The founder says the endgame is "solving weather" and setting the stage for terraforming Earth.
