Mimo V2.6 undercuts Grok 4.7 by 6x on output price amid same-day model launches

Two models, Grok 4.7 and Mimo V2.6, launched back-to-back with similar third-party benchmark performance but wildly different pricing: Mimo V2.6 Pro charges ¥0.025 input (cache hit) / ¥6 output vs Grok 4.7's ¥3.35 / ¥40; Mimo V2.6 Flash output is ¥2, half of DeepSeek V4.1 Flash's ¥4. Early feedback on Grok 4.7 complains it's expensive and slow. Mimo will offer free limits on OpenCode next week and launched a desktop client with built-in image generation. The author speculates both rushed releases ahead of rumored cheap GPT-6 Sol/Luna launches from OpenAI.
