SemiAnalysis tears down A20 on TSMC N2, DRAM revealed in iPhone 18 Pro Max package

SemiAnalysis's STEEL Teardown Lab has done a quick-turn physical teardown of the iPhone 18 Pro Max's A20 chip, confirming it is built on TSMC's N2 node. Dylan Patel shared a photo of the actual package, noting the black area on top is DRAM that hasn't been milled yet — evidence the DRAM is packaged with the SoC — and teased an upcoming Hitachi XTEM cross-section analysis.
