Aikido launches Altar-1, an open-weight security model built on GLM 5.3 that fits one 4-H200 node

Security firm Aikido introduced Altar-1, its first open-weight security model positioned as deployable defensive AI you can own. The model is a pruned and quantized version of the open-SOTA GLM 5.3, lightweight enough to run on a single node with four H200s while retaining defensive capabilities close to the frontier. Hugging Face co-founder Thom Wolf highlighted it as a sign that open-weight security models are nearing frontier-grade defensive capabilities.
