A user's first impressions of the new ChatGPT voice mode went badly: it interrupted him mid-sentence to make a strange throat-clearing noise, then said "hmm let me think a minute" and essentially stopped doing anything. He argues the old voice mode worked better and questions what the update is supposed to improve.
