Citing Stripe's own blog, the author pushes back on the "SaaSpocalypse" narrative that AI is killing SaaS: in the last three months Stripe onboarded more new platform businesses than in the entire final six months of 2025, with new platform businesses up over 180% year over year.
The point: platform and subscription software businesses are surging under AI rather than collapsing, contradicting predictions that agents will cannibalize traditional SaaS.
